Why the Name ‘Bagello’?

The story behind the name Bagello is as unique as the brand itself.

When Neha first started, her focus was on creating innovative, high quality bags. While brainstorming a name, she casually asked for suggestions. A fun, lighthearted conversation led someone to joke, "Just call it Bag Le Lo!" (meaning "Take the bag" in Hindi).

That’s when it clicked! She took that phrase, gave it a creative twist, and Bagello was born a name that now stands for premium, stylish, and innovative packaging solutions.

Turning Passion into Reality

Neha's journey into the world of packaging wasn’t planned it was inspired by an everyday experience. One day, she bought a paper bag for ₹50, only to find that its handle was flimsy and poorly made. This made her think, "If I'm paying ₹50, why shouldn’t the quality match the price?"

Driven by this thought, she went home, redesigned the bag, and replaced the handle with a more durable, stylish design. When she showed it to her family, they loved it! That moment sparked an idea why not create packaging that is not only functional but also visually appealing and high quality?

That’s how Bagello started with one simple idea to improve something that people use daily.

The Struggles Behind the Success

Starting Bagello in 2018 was not easy. Neha faced financial struggles, market competition, and skepticism. The biggest challenge was finding trustworthy suppliers, understanding market demand, and convincing businesses to believe in her vision.

As a woman entrepreneur, she had to work twice as hard to prove herself in an industry dominated by large manufacturers. Many questioned her ability to sustain the business. But Neha was determined.

Then came the pandemic. Just when Bagello was growing, COVID-19 shut everything down. Orders stopped, supply chains collapsed, and businesses struggled to survive. Many entrepreneurs gave up but Neha refused to quit.

Even in the toughest times, she kept reinventing her approach. She built relationships, adapted to changes, and ensured that Bagello continued to deliver quality, even when the world was at a standstill.

Today, Bagello is more than just a packaging company; it’s a symbol of innovation, creativity, and resilience.

From premium gift boxes and eco-friendly paper bags to custom taffeta bags, Neha has built a brand that businesses trust. She has also made Bagello a hub for women empowerment, providing work opportunities to housewives, single mothers, and women from NGOs who craft products from their homes.
